Audacity

Audacity is the audio equivalent of iMovie, but will work well even if your school is not using Apple products. It is a powerful, free audio editing tool that gives students a variety of options for how to cut together audio.

Use Audacity to:

  • Have students create podcasts
  • Teach students the power of audio editing and juxtaposition
  • Create more authentic audio presentations where post-production can be used to enhance their message
  • Collaborate to cut together multiple pieces of work into one coherent piece
